Lithium Silicate
The main advantage of lithium silicate is that they can be produced at much higher molar ratios than sodium or potassium silicate, Lithium silicate is kind of water glass
like soclium silicate and potassium silicate, but it is widely used as a ceramic binder because it has particularly high levels of water resistance and heat resistance.
When heated the silicate came out of solution and the lithium ions assumed some of the precipitation characteristics of a calcium ion at higher temperature.
The effect was reversible. The solidifying of the solution when hot and the subsequent reliquefying to a clear homogeneous state after being cooled to 25℃ for a
few hours remarkable.
